On Tuesday the 27th of July our Tararua Team went by bus to Lakeveiw School for a music festival! The audience was fulled with schools such as:
Douglas Park
Masterton Primary
ST Patricks
and of coruse Solway Primary
The festival went from 1:30 to 2:45. There were some awesome prefromances. I thought the drum preformance was spectacular.Also the rock band 24/7 was the coolest part. I liked when they sang battle field.
Everyone was clapping and sining as loud as they could!

On Tuesday 27th July 2010 at 1:30-2:45 the Tararua team from Solway Primary joined MPS,DPS and ST Patricks to go to Lakeveiw to watch thier winter music festival they provided buses some of the music was the choir, singing bees, Kapahaka, drums, Jump jam and pips piano progies plus an awsome light show. thier was also a rock band they sang battlefeild theyadded a bit where they went battlefeild ohh a battlefeild ohh .

On Tuesday the 27TH of jJuly at 1:30-2:45 the Tararua team from Solway and other schools Wen't to the Lakeveiw winter music festival and it was at lakeview and it finished at 2:45 pm the kind of music was the choir, kapahaka, singing bees, rockband,drums and all sorts of stuff.

Hello everyone.On Tuesday the 27Th,all the seniors went to Lake view school because they were having a winter music festival,and all the seniors from Sol way school were invited,as well as: Douglas park school,Master ton primary school,and Saint.patricks.There was heaps of cool things that Lake view did,like almost at end of the concert,they had a rock band called 24/7.They sang three songs but I only remember the first song called Battlefield-Rhianna originally sang it.Some other students did jump-jam,they had some other students do a Hakka,and also there was a singing bee group.It was so cool,except the rock band was a bit too loud.My friend absolutely loved the rock band-she didn't think it was too loud at all!Oh well,I guess people have different opinions on different music.

Hi this term I went to macdonels I was geting an ice cream but the ice cream mishean was broken so I went to the shop and got icecream.For my friend karls birthday I went to gun shouting with him and it cost seven dollers.

Hi I'm Jasmine. I would like to tell you what I have been learning this Term. For Maths, we have been learning about time and fractions. Our teacher told us about Analog clocks and Digital clocks. I'm in the group Seconds, which is the highest group. On the computer, we have been doing Freemind about our holidays. For Writing, we have been doing orientations. we haven't actually done a story yet. We're doing this so we can make a good story with a good orientation. An orientation is simply just three or four sentences that make the reader want to read on. Our values this term are Respect and Obedience. This year is the last year for me at Solway. I've had a great year so far as a year 6.

term 3 holiday

In this term holiday I played on the computer and I was playing advanced wars and age of empires age of mythology plus xotactic alenwoars witch is quite horde but fun the last level is really hard.I uishiley go 4weal driving my big brothers around the river my big brother Matthew uoushely gets a long strong stick to whack down big and who low branches.He touchily drives though deep puddles and Rockey roods and I sometimes have a swim in the river its elysium.

This year at Solway School I have enjoyed hockey and library time.We have done lots of art and I have improved at maths.My teacher Mr Hornby has been teaching us stuff on the computers.We have done many short plays in groups in front of the class.We have been learning to tell the time in both digital and analog.We have been learning about diasters and how to aviod them.I have really enjoyed this year at Solway.

This is what i have been learning throughout the year. . .
In term two we learnt all about disasters. The disaster I liked the most was the tsunami.The tsunami is caused by a under water earthquake.and to get to higher ground as fast as you can.In term one we learnt how to do statistics and graphs.We had to go one excel spreadsheets from the data we have collected.In term three we have been learning how to use pivot stick and freemind.pivot stick is a type of animation thing and you make a type of animation video.kayla

Things I have Learn't

This Is what I have been learning throughout the year. . .
In term 2 we learnt all about disasters. My favourite disaster to learn about was the tsunami.
I learnt that in a event of a tsunami that it was caused by and underwater earthquake and to get to higher ground so you don't get hit by all the water! We also had the school cross country and the regonal cross country
In term 1 we learnt all about statistics. We made graphs using excel spreadsheets and collected lots of data together.Also in term 2 we got our big slide taken out and a new playground in its place.Also with the playground we got a net spider net. In the plantation we have also got some new tyres , jumping hills and new huts
This term (term 3) we have been learning all about time and fractions.I am in the group seconds for time and delta for fractions. Also this term we have got a shad sell over the top of our class rooms.In computer time we also have learnt to use pivot stick and make him run and create scenes
Hopefully in term 4 we will be doing a school production

At school we are doing the chess tournament this term. In class we are learning to tell the time in analog properly. On Thursday we are doing ribber rugby against MPS, DPS and hadlow,I have not missed not one tournament. Last year my school came seccond in the tournament and DPS came first.

Hi Ciaren.We are in the middle of the first week of term 3,so today is wednesday.I am the first one to type on the new blog.Mr hornby is going to make it flasher with video clips and stuff.How are you doing?Today is very wet and cold,but spring is only about a month away,so i'm looking forward to summer!what is your favorite season?Myne is Summer beacause more pool parties and ice-creams.My other favorite season is Autumn for two reasons-1.Beacause I like walking in the wiltering leaves and 2.Beacause it is my birthday in March,the same month as Justin Bieber!
